If you were preparing for the soft iPhone 3G Unlock then you’ve to prepare yourself for one more thing, the issue that came with the recent Mac OS X 10.5.6 update. As you may know by now the recent OS X update stops your Mac computers from recognising your iPhone in DFU mode. Which essentially means that if you’ve updated your OS X then you’ll have trouble Jailbreaking / Unlocking your iPhone.

It’s an issue and to me a big one. Because the most annoying thing after such a long wait for the soft unlock would be not to be able to Unlock your iPhone just because of your operating systems. But as always there’s a solution to the problem. It’s pretty straight forward. So just follow the steps and your DFU mode issues will be fixed. Here’s the procedure.
