Google Street View Coming to iPhone
Looks like Apple has decided to add the most talked phone features of recent week, the Google Maps Street View after the recent demo of G1 Android and its Google Street View features. G1 Android’s street view feature allows you to view a photo of exactly what you’re looking at by moving your phone around in street view mode. Macrumors reports that Street View is one of the features of upcoming iPhone 2.2 Firmware which have been hidden from the BETA release. Other features that haven’t been released to the BETA testers includes:
- Support for Japanese Emoji characters
- iPhone’s auto-correction disable option
I am really excited about the street view features as that would be really interesting to see and needless to mention, will be really handy as well. The auto-correction disable option is a big relief for me as I always thought that was a pain. So that’s another good features being added. I am really happy with the 2.1 firmware update & improvements, so now looking forward to the 2.2 and the improvements it brings.
