iPhone Car Charger, Griffin PowerJolt
Looking for a car charger that works for your iPhone and possibly for your iPod collection as well? Here’s one, Griffin PowerJolt. And the good news is this device works and works well for your iPhone 3G. There’re hundreds of cheap car charger out there that supposedly works for iPhone 3G. But hardly any of those delivers to their promises. And some of those all-in-one car charger can even brick your iPhone. Check our article on car charger bricks iPhone.
Griffin already has good reputation for making quality accessories for iPod series. Griffin product line for iPods such as protective cases, speaker systems, headphones, power adapters are nothing new to us. And even the PowerJolt has been around for a while. They’ve just recently gave it a fresh look and modified it a bit so that it works with the latest Apple craze, iPhone 3G. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work with your old iPod. It is backward compatible and still works very well with your iPod collection (I am sure some of you have more than one). It comes with a separate USB Type-A to 30-pin dock connector cable, which can be used as a charge/sync cable between your iPhone/iPod and your computer. Also, if you’ve any other device that charges via USB, all you need is the cable that is shipped with your device and plug it into PowerJoltâs USB port in your car and you’re all set! What else can you ask for!

Our recommendations: this device may cost you a bit more than one of those cheap chinese all-in-one car charger that you could buy from eBay. But if that doesn’t work properly or even bricks your iPhone like many reported, then you’re loosing kind of both. And I am sure you don’t want that. I certainly don’t. So the choice is now yours.

Wow how much did Griffin pay you guys to write this article? I would have appreciated some sort of unbiased review, I bought one of these pieces of junk, ya it worked with my iphone 3g but so do a million cheaper ones and this just feels like a very cheap product that was probably made in the same China that those other products you are tearing up(which totally deserve it) but using that to push a product which is nothing spectacular or anything near what you make it seem, you act like this is the best product available for the iphone. Now with that said I am happy with the device it does what it said it would but I hate advertisement disguised as news or something the writer or his or her employer was not paid for. Thank You
