There are so many cool accessories for the iPhone and iPod Touch on the market that the list can go on. And this new accessory just got added to that list. Well, this one isn’t that new in the US but it certainly is new in the UK which just went on sale on the 2nd of this month. I am sure a lot of people will find a real use for it. It can be very useful for one of those nights when you couldn’t get a dedicated driver to drive you back home. Yes, we’re talking about iBreath, the device that can check your alcohol level using your already companion, the iPhone.

iBreath - Breathaliser for Your iPhone & iPod TouchThe addon device gets connected to your iPhone and iPod Touch and has a tube that you blow into for five seconds to get the reading of your alcohol level. If you were over the limit then you can use the timer of the device to remind you to take another test after a certain time. Pretty handy, ay?

And, if you thought you’re happy with what it did for you so far then wait. There’s one more thing you can use this device for and that is to transmit music to your car audio from your iPhone or iPod Touch. Yes, the device has built in radio transmitter to make use of it for the time when you’re not drinking. Now, you can’t say no to that. Though all the audio transmitter device I used so far wasn’t satisfactory at all. So, I am curious to know how this one performs.

Finally if you were thinking what if you don’t have your iPhone or iPod Touch with you. Don’t worry, because you can plug this device into your car as well and check your breath.

I haven’t tested it myself and as always can’t say or recommend the device to anyone without having first hand experience. Specially for this kind of device when you don’t know how accurate the reading may be.
