Finally Steve jobs, Apple CEO, this morning replied to the agonising iPhone customers saying that the iPhone 3G problem will be fixed this September. In an email Mr. Jobs said: “This is a known iPhone bug that is being fixed in the next software update in September.

Well, hopefully Apple will fix this issue for good this time and mention something more than just bug fixes in the September firmware release so that we know exactly what has been fixed. Though some iPhone 3G users reported that iPhone’s recent firmware 2.0.2 boosted their iPhone’s 3G performance (view the recent post on that here), many have been reporting more serious issues like, phone doesn’t work, call drops out etc. etc. Some iPhone users even reported that the latest firmware update broke their iPhone (that’s a bit too much I thought).

Anyway, now that Mr. Jobs promises that Apple is aware of the iPhone’s 3G problems, and will fix those with the next firmware update, I guess we’ll have to wait and see if that’s really the case this time.
