iPhone firmware 2.0.2 improvements
We know what improvements last iPhone firmware update 2.0.1 brought to us. I personally couldn’t see any difference except the fast access of contacts. Some people reported that 2.0.1 update fixed their camera issue. I don’t know what the camera issue was as I never felt any problem neither did I see any improvements after the update. Anyway, that’s past so lets talk about the improvement(s) in the latest update, 2.0.2. Again there seems to be not much except 3G performance. Apparently the 2.0.2 update improves the iPhone’s 3G performance by quite a margin. You can see it in the test below (done by iphonebuzz).
Let us know if there’s any significant changes you’ve seen so far. Or if there’s any difference in performance at all.

I just tried getting to iphonebuzz.com on my EDGE 1st Gen iPhone since the latest update. I pushed GO at the same time as you did on the video, and guess what..The site was fully loaded at THE SAME TIME, even though the staus bar for loading (Blue bar that moves to the right) was about 1 second behind. JUST ONE SECOND! I have noticed FAR FA
STER response time and loading since 2.0.1 was released, and now not much differnece between 3G and my older EDGE. Faster page rendering seems to be the thing that achieves this overall.

Since I upgraded to 2.0.2, the GPS doesnt work anymore. Only once I saw it working since new OS was instaled, but never again since then. Anyone else has noticed something similar?

I have upgraded successfully and no, haven’t had any problem as yet. Have you jailbroken it?
