As predicted earlier Apple finally released Firmware 2.2 today. Now as we’re excited about this latest firmware because of its few cool new feature such as Google Street View, dev team is asking us all to hold our horses. Because they’re very close to find the solution for unlocking iPhone 3G. And if you upgrade to the latest 2.2 firmware then you may not be able to unlock you iPhone 3G later down the track. And not to mention the jailbreak solutions for 2.2 isn’t out yet. So, don’t just go and update your firmware rightaway if you care to unlock your iPhone soon.

Also please be remember, if you upgrade then you’ll loose your jailbreak. And you’ll also loose all your third party apps including Fring patch, if you’ve done that and all your custom themes will be lost too.
