Making a Phone Call from Safari

You don’t need to jump out of Safari and go to the phone to make a phone call to a number that you’ve just found on a website. Just tap on the number and the iPhone will dial it for you. (This also works with phone numbers and URLs embedded in emails and SMS chats; tapping on either one will place a call or open a web page, respectively.)

I have a 3g iphone that i have jailbroken. I used the latest quickpwn and firmware to suit. Problem is now i have no service. can somebody please help me out with the problem?
The phone was brand new and never activated, so i have this great looking new toy that is useless to me.. haha, sux huh!! PLEASE HELP, its doing my head in.

I'm a T Mobile Customer...Currently I have the old T Mobile PDA (HTC MDA). I would like to purchase a new phone but I'm not crazy about alny of the phones offered by T Mobile. What I really want is a iPhone; but I am not very knowledgable on the un-locking and jailbreaking trick suggested on the forums...Can I get some help on understanding this?
