Looks like Apple could finally hear you. I was never so excited until now after the announcements of iPhone OS 3.0. I am sure you’ll agree with me too. iPhone OS 3.0 is finally bringing almost all the features you ever wanted on your iPhone. Yes, now we’re talking.

We had these speculation around that iPhone OS 3.0 might finally bring some big updates. And, our wishlist seems to have become reality. How? I am sure you know by now. But just in case you’ve missed the big news then here’s the list of all the new features.

  • A long waited Cut-Copy-Paste (text and image) across any applications including third party apps
  • MMS support from within the built in SMS application.
  • OS wise search. A new home window now allows you to search for anything on your iPhone. Finding information on your iPhone was never been easier.
  • One of the updates that got me most excited is the support of A2DP. Now, I can use my bluetooth stereo headset to listen to my music and answer calls at the same time. Yay!! No more wiring.
  • Not to mention, turn by turn GPS is another most exciting feature been added to OS 3.0. I am sure, TomTom won’t wait any longer to bring out their iPhone version of the GPS app.
  • Peer to Peer connectivity over Bluetooth for file transfer and gaming
  • Landscape keyboard. Finally you will be able to use the keyboard in landscape mode in any appliation.
  • Voice recording and editing app has been added. You can also email or MMS those recordings now.

We’re still missing the flash support but over 100 new additions along with the one’s outlined above; I don’t think anyone will be complaining about anything for a long time.
