iPod Touch 2.1 Syncing Problem Fix

The latest iPod Touch firmware update 2.1 should include the following improvements and should also supersede all previous version.
- Genius playlist creation
- Dramatically reduced time to backup to iTunes
- Improved email reliability, notably fetching email from POP and Exchange accounts
- Faster installation of 3rd party applications
- Fixed bugs causing hangs and crashes if you have lots of 3rd party applications
- Faster loading and searching of contacts
- Other bug fixes
While trying the latest firmware update, some people are facing syncing problem: “The iPod cannot be updated. An unknown error has occurred (13213)”.
If you’re having trouble syncing your iPod Touch after upgrading to the latest firmware 2.1 then trying the following steps may help resolving the issue:
- First disconnect your iPod Touch then turn it off
- Quit and relaunch iTunes 8
- Reconnect your iPod Touch
- Now turn your iPod Touch back on and this should do the trick!
