MagicPad: Free for a Limited Time
We’ve recently seen how Pastebud allows you to copy and paste between Safari webpages, between Safari and Mail and also from Mail to Safari. Now added to that copy and paste colony is the iPhone Application called MagicPad.
MagicPad is a text editor that allows copy, cut, paste and also allows very basic text formatting within the limitation of the application itself. But at least it’s another step ahead from the individual developers until Apple understands the importance of it.

Here’s what you can do with the MagicPad:
- Copy, Cut & Paste: easily move text within a note or to a brand new note
- Rich-Text Editing: customize text with 6 different fonts, 5 sizes, 8 colors, and 4 effects
- Email: send your rich-text creations to yourself or share with friends
We’ve just given it a go and everything worked fine except the rich-text email. Email worked but the text formatting was lost.
Anyway, though the application features are limited within the app, I am sure someone will find good use of it for now. Hopefully in future MagicPad will come with global copy paste feature if Apple still isn’t convince by then.
You can download the app from the App Store now.
