Competition Announcement
The latest addition to the iPhone craze is the Sekai Camera application, which tags and gives real time information on things around you. Just point your iPhone’s camera at anything you can find around you and you will get an instant message popping up on your iPhone’s screen, tagging whatever you’re pointing at. Sekai Camera (world camera in Japanese) does exactly as its name suggests, brings the world into your iPhone. It gives you information about directions, reviews or any possible thing you can think of. You don’t have to search for a good food place in a shopping centre anymore, just point your iPhone’s camera to a restaurant and it will give you the menu and even customer reviews. How cool is that?
The application uses iPhone’s built in camera, GPS or cell-tower triangulation to bring the information to you in real time. Other than just finding information about places and objects around you, you can also add your own information, whether you are an owner or a reviewer of something. Just point your iPhone’s camera and add your tag in text, images and/or sound.
The application hasn’t been released to public yet but I am sure it will be a big hit when it does. I can’t wait to get my hands on it! Here’s the demonstration of the application.
