For all of you who don’t know much about Slifter; Slifter, is a popular mobile based shopping tool that enables users to search and share products and promotions, straight from their mobile phones. The service is available for almost any mobile device and is accessible free via web or java application. And now you can enjoy the fun from your iPhone as well. Slifter just released their iPhone version of the app which is available from App Store for Free.

SlifterSlifter application, one of the first local product search tool available in the App Store that allows users to search and share products and promotions at their local retailers. The application has a database of over 350 million products and 200,000 retail stores across USA.

It’s a very useful application to look for products and promotions around your area. You can search for things on the move and check out for specials on any location. The app sounds really promising, but at the moment the application only works for USA. Hopefully the New York based company will extend their boundary and add information of other countries such as Australia.
