If you’re into VOIP then you know what this software is all about. It lets you make cheaper calls using your Wi-Fi or 3G connection. As long as you have internet connection, you’ll be able to make cheaper local and international calls.

The actual application is free but you’ve to setup an account with Truphone and buy credits to make calls. While the app provides cheaper calls, we weren’t particularly happy with it. Mainly because, it doesn’t allow you to use external SIP account. You’ve to stick to Truphone to make calls. There’re are so many local and international VOIP providers who provides excellant service and call quality; you won’t be able to use any of them because the app doesn’t allow you to setup external SIP account.

We’ve tested many other VOIP services (not on iPhone of course) on mobile devices and we got better call quality from those other VOIP service providers. But, now that this app is the only option, I guess we’ve to be happy with it as it provides some level of service. I am sure life will be much more easier when we get one of those customisable application, at least I can speak for myself in that regard.
