Competition Announcement
The iPhone firmware 2.1 update improved iPhone’s overall performance significantly. We’ve experienced noticeable improvements mainly in:
Battery life. Battery life has proven to be almost doubled in our test.- Cellular network reception. Receiving full frequency after the update and hasn’t dropped a bar since, whereas previously it used to range from 3-4 bar max.
- Typing lag is gone!
- Faster contacts access.
- A much faster backup and third party software installation process.
- And most importantly 3G performance improvements. Our speed test has shown a slight improvement in 3G performance. Finally!
So while we’re enjoying these improvements, we’re missing our freedom of optimising our iPhone in many different ways and using third party applications that Apple wouldn’t allow us to install or use. I mainly miss my background wallpaper. Black looks so dull! Anyway, I guess we’ve to wait for few more days before the dev team comes up with the solution to Jailbreak iPhone 3G 2.1.
Finally, if you’re still deciding whether to update your jailbroken iPhone 3G or not then I can tell you it’s definitely worth updating to 2.1. And if you’re updating then make sure to backup your iPhone first then restore to factory default before updating to 2.1 to avoid any error in the process. And as always we’ll bring you the unlocking/jailbreaking procedure as soon as it’s available. So stay tuned!
Your experience with the update? Don’t forget to share with us in the comments section.
